CNC Milling

Curran Engineering was founded in 1987 and has developed a reputation for excellent standards in all forms of work whether it is CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Waterjet Cutting or Designing and Manufacturing Special Purpose Machines.

We are able to machine components on our mills in a wide range of materials including Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze, Plastics as well as many others. From prototype work up to production runs, no quantity is out of our capability. Our continual investment in the latest technology ensures that we are able to supply parts to the highest quality whilst remaining competitive with our pricing.

Our CNC Milling Machinery

We operate two CNC Mill Machining centres, both with tool changers, one being a Bridgeport while the other a Haas. The Bridgeport has a table size of 490mm x 1000mm and a travel distance of 510mm x 796mm, however, with our innovative set ups we can often accommodate for larger work pieces. The Haas TM1 has a table size of 260mm x 1200 and a travel distance of 305mm x 762mm. Both machines are of the highest standard, able to hold tolerencing within 0.01mm.

Along with these, we also have two Bridgeport 2 axis EZ Track CNC Mills. With the ability to use the mill in both CNC mode and manual mode, we can improve our productivity by not having long programming times for small operations. Also, with the option to angle the head, all operations can be performed without the need of the operator changing set ups.

All of our CNC Mills use an up to date CAD/CAM system to produce components with tight tolerances, fine finishes, and complex features. This technology however isn't good enough alone, and what makes us so good to deal with is our highly trained and professional team. Each of our team members take a lot a pride in their work and with a strict in house inspection policy, having clients ranging from the mining industries, power generation, to aerospace, to pharmaceuticals, you can be assured our work is always produced with the highest standards.
