Advantage over LaserCutting
There are several advantages for having parts waterjet cut as opposed to lasercut. A few of these advantages are:
- Little to no burr from heat transference
- No warping because the material is cold cut/no heat
- The structural properties of the material are not affected due to no heat
- A larger variety of materials that laser cannot cut eg: reflective materials, rubber gaskets, composite materials
- Better tolerance on thicker materials
- Clean edges for ease of welding
- Short set up time as the parts barely need any clamping pressure
